What types of desert tours do you offer in Morocco?

We offer a variety of private and shared tours, including 3-day, 4-day, and custom multi-day Sahara desert tours from Marrakech and Fes. Popular destinations include Merzouga (Erg Chebbi dunes) and Zagora, as well as luxury desert camp experiences and camel trekking adventures.

What’s the difference between Merzouga and Zagora?

Merzouga (Erg Chebbi) offers real sand dunes, tall golden landscapes, and immersive desert experiences. Ideal for 3+ day tours.
Zagora is a rocky desert with limited dunes but is closer to Marrakech and suitable for shorter 2-day trips.

Are the desert tours private or shared?

We offer both private and small-group tours. Private tours provide more flexibility and comfort, while group tours are more budget-friendly and social.

What should I pack for a desert trip?

We recommend:

Comfortable walking shoes
Sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen
Warm clothing for night (especially October–March)
Camera or smartphone
Refillable water bottle
Personal medication

Do you offer luxury desert camps?

Yes, we provide both standard and luxury camp options. Our luxury desert camps include private tents with en-suite bathrooms, hot showers, gourmet dining, and music under the stars.

How long is the camel ride?

The camel ride usually lasts 1 to 1.5 hours during sunset or sunrise. If you’re not comfortable with camels, we can arrange alternative transport to the camp by 4×4.

Are the tours suitable for children and families?

Yes! Our desert tours are family-friendly and we can adapt the pace and activities to suit children or elderly travelers. Baby seats are available upon request.

What is included in the desert tours?

All our tours typically include:

Can we customize our desert tour itinerary?

Absolutely! We can tailor any tour to match your schedule, interests, or travel group. You can add extra stops (e.g. Ait Ben Haddou, Dades Valley), skip camel rides, or upgrade your camp experience.

When is the best time to visit the Moroccan desert?

The best months for a desert tour are March–May and September–November. Summer (June–August) can be very hot, while winter nights (December–February) can be cold — but both are still manageable with proper preparation.
